Robina pseudoacacia - Upright mid sized tree with blue-green fernlike foliage and black deeply ridged bark. Spring blooms are white, hang in long clusters and are very fragrant. They produce pealike seed pods in the late summer. The tree needs full sunlight, as it is very intolerant of shade and poorly drained heavy clay soils. Used often for windbreaks and erosion control. Hardy to -20F (-28.8C); height: 50ft.
