Native to the southeastern US, this shrub is a rounded broadleaf evergreen with small ovate leaves and short erect branched heads of white blooms, appearing in the early spring.  Excellent choice for understory plantings, hedges and bordered.  Hardy to -10F (-23.3C);  height: 6ft.

A shapely evergreen shrub with ovate leaves which at frist emerge a copper bronze, then turning green.  The blooms of this variety are larger than P. floribunda and are borne in drooping clusters.  Less hardy than P.floribunda, it cannot withstand early spring frosts and cold winds.  Hardy to 10F (-17.7C);  height: 10ft.
