Ben Franklin Tree
Small tree with 3 inch blooms which resemble a singel flowered camelia .  Very fragrant when in bloom.  The native American tree once gre wild in Georgia and was given its botanical name by John and William Bartram, who named it after Benjamin Franklin.  Strangely, the tree became extinct in the wild around 1803, but is still cultivated for its beauty.    Hardy to -20F (-28.8C); height: 25ft.
